The function of any Home Lighting System is to allow charging current to battery bank till it is charged to its capacity and prevent it from getting overcharged. Low Voltage disconnect feature is provided to prevent batteries form getting deep discharged through DC Load.
Su-Kam’s Home Lighting System provides two stage charging process which recharge batteries faster compared to on-off relay type chargers. Faster recharging increases the performance of the system by storing more of the SPV array’s limited output. The charge controller inside Home Lighting System allows the maximum current generated in the SPV array to the battery bank till it is charged to its capacity. Then it regulates further charging current to keep battery in float stage and protect the battery bank from getting overcharged. The final float setting reduces battery gassing and ensures complete battery charging.
